NEW FOR 2009-2010!

Supercamps 2009-2010

Explore, get inspired and start making your plans for the Spring! Previously, the Spring Supercamps were intended for Level 3 or Level 4 members looking to further develop their Course Conductor skills. We are very excited to announce that as of this season, the Supercamps will be offered to CSIA members of all levels. While the overall content for Course Conductors will remain unchanged, the added component aimed at the membership will respect the participants’ needs.

Essentially, the spirit of the Supercamps is to reunite instructors that share a common passion and willingness to improve their skills. In addition to the content, the new Supercamps format will encourage members to become more innovative and to further explore CSIA’s evolving technical and teaching approaches. This is the perfect opportunity to exchange new ideas and to share experiences.

Regardless if you are a Course Conductor looking to improve your development and course conducting methods, or a motivated ski instructor in quest of stimulating your personal development strategy, register NOW! For more information or to register, go to our website at snowpro.com! This is an event you don’t want to miss.

Level 2 Ski or Teach Certification

In addition to the current 5-day program, there is a new way to become a certified level 2. Concentrate on one component at a time and increase your chances of success! The content will be divided into one teaching module and one skiing module. Each module is an 18-hour program over three days, or a combination of nights and days. The shorter training blocks will provide increased accessibility. The modules can be completed in any order. There will be an evaluation of skiing or teaching depending on which module is taken, and successful candidates will pass level 2 teaching or skiing. The member will retain this status until they choose to complete the other module or a full 5-day course at any time in the future. Upon successful completion of both parts the candidate will receive a full level 2 Certification. Please note that the second module cannot be replaced by attending parts of the 5-day program because of differences in information flow between the two courses. A candidate failing a module will have the option of re-taking a full module or being re-tested on that portion only within a 5-day course allowing the candidate to continue the pathway to obtain full level 2 Certification. Check the 2009-2010 schedule - these modules will be available primarily as 3-day programs around holidays and weekends for easy accessibility. In addition to scheduled modules, ski school directors with special requests for these modules should contact the Eastern or Western program director.
