CSIA Ontario is approximately 7,000 members strong. Our mandate, in concert with the national office of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance, is to train and certify highly qualified ski instructors to teach beginners how to ski and experienced skiers how to improve their performance. Moreover, CSIA Ontario supports Ontario's ski schools and contributes to the growth and enjoyment of skiing.

Avid skiers who would like to become ski instructors are invited to attend one of at least 50 CSIA Level 1 ski instructor certification courses held annually throughout the province. The Level 1 course is a great way to both improve your skiing and learn how to teach skiing.Level 1 certification is also a requirement to instruct skiing in Canada.

For those thinking of taking a Level 1 course, "Ski Development Days" are offered at no charge to improve your skiing and help you to determine if you are ready to take the course. Please see Courses ? Level 1, on this website for more information.

CSIA members, in addition to receiving ski and instructing training, educational materials, blast emails, National and Ontario Ski Pro magazines, etc., have the opportunity to attend special events such as the Fall Conference and Trade Show, Professional Training Series days (which focus on improving selected skiing and teaching skills), the Annual General Meeting and other fun and informative indoor and outdoor activities.

Come meet us at the Toronto and Ottawa ski shows. We are always looking for volunteers to help run events. If you are interested please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
