You are reading the 34th edition of the Communiqué!
Dear CSIA Member,
This is such an exciting time of year, with the ski season now underway! In this edition, two quick updates: An update from our first on-snow event of the year and important information regarding safe sport and the proposed By-Law changes in our upcoming AGM.
OPERATIONS UPDATE
We have already had over three hundred Members taking part in Course Conductor Training and in our Fall Pro Days Camp at Lake Louise!
A few highlights from the week: after a 40-year career as owner and operator of the Post Hotel with his brother George, Andre Schwarz, Head Coach of the 1983 Interski Team returned to the CSIA, reactivating his Course Conductor status! Other highlights included the attendance of our PSIA colleagues, Dave Schuiling, Matt Boyd, and Brenna Kelleher. Also, at the end of each day, our Interski Team is getting some training in as they prepare to represent the organization at the World Ski Congress in Levi, Finland in March! Make sure you follow our social media platforms for all the latest posts and behind-the-scenes action.
And even better news; we have seen significant changes in the weather in Eastern Canada with the arrival of snow, and snow-making weather!

The AGM package contains important information about the proposed By-Law changes regarding the organization’s ability to provide a safe place for its Membership.

We have held two information sessions on Zoom regarding safe sport/complaints policies and By-Law changes. The second session included a comprehensive presentation by Sport Law. If you have missed it, you can listen to the recording by clicking on the link below.
