National Members' Convention

Eastern Convention - Tremblant
In the East, the unique atmosphere of Mont Tremblant will again be host to this annual event, December 7th to 9th, 2015.

Western Convention - Banff
We are back at the Banff Park Lodge for this year’s edition of the Western convention. Skiing nearby at both Sunshine Village and Lake Louise should be well underway for the November 21st to 23th event.

Convention on-snow workshops description (3 full days)

Ski Improvement (full day)
Continue to develop your skiing and understanding of the CSIA technique.

Technical Reference (Development Approaches) (full day)
Learn practical application of the technical principles while improving your skiing.

Course Prep (full day)
Receive course-specific training for your next level of certification. This session will review standards, provide training directions and course recommendations.

Women in Skiing (women only) (full day)
For women, by women! Learn about gender differences, physical, physiology and psychology.  Find out what you need to know to maximize your students lesson/learning experience.

Reflective Learning (teaching approach) (full day)
Explore the learning cycle that has become our teaching philosophy.

Level 2 Training course (3 days)
Take the first step towards your Level 2 certification by completing the training course. Typically a 2-day course, the program will run over 3 days at the convention.

Teaching Children Module (2 days)
Develop your understanding of how children develop both mentally and physically at different ages. Build your toolbox with tactics for age groups and skill levels. This national module typically is offered in a 1-day format but will exceptionnally run over 2 days at convention. Worth 10 Education credits.


Women's Edge Camp

January 23-27, 2017 - Mont Tremblant, QC
February 27-March 3, 2017 - Whistler, BC

For women, by women!  Train and network with some of the most accomplished female instructors in a fun and challenging environment.  Learn about gender differences, physical, physiology, and Psychology.  Train in varied environments with video analysis and set meaningful goals.

New for the 2017 edition, join us for the full 5-day camp or only for the first 3 days.

Sample what the Women's edge camp has to offer, in a convenient 1-day format. Train with all female elite coaches, be challenged and improve significantly. Connect, ski and have fun!


High Performance Camp

Eastern and Western camps available, click here to preview the 2016/17 dates

Open to any member, this program focuses on individual development in a fun team environment. Using brushes, small group tasks and problem solving, the coaching staff directs participants toward specific skiing objectives. The focus is development and understanding of skiing fundamentals to build similarity in the group. The camp is open to all members every season, while also serving as the training ground and selection process for the CSIA High Performance Team and the Interski Team.

May 5-7, 2017 - Sunshine Village, AB

Open to all members. Participate in the development of CSIA material and methodology, as senior staff come together to work on materials and exchange ideas for the coming season. Take part in the research!

Open to all members. Supercamp focuses on the development of CSIA material and methodology; join the fun! We will be sharing methods and approaches. Streams geared specifically to instructors and course conductors offered.
