Montréal, QC – May 6, 2026

The Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) is proud to announce the appointment of JF Beaulieu as Senior Director of Programs and Education and Head Coach of the 2027 Canadian Interski Team.

This appointment signals the CSIA’s commitment to advancing ski instruction in Canada—grounded in a long-standing pursuit of excellence and a renewed focus on delivering at the highest level, nationally and internationally.

In his role as Senior Director, Beaulieu assumes executive leadership for the design, quality, and national delivery of all CSIA education, certification, and on-snow programs. His responsibilities include program standards, curriculum development, quality assurance, and the development of instructor and course conductor pathways—setting the direction for how programs are developed and delivered nationwide.

As Head Coach of the 2027 Canadian Interski Team, Beaulieu will lead the preparation, training, and direction of Canada’s top demonstrators and educators as they represent the CSIA at Interski 2027 in Vail, Colorado. His role is to ensure the team reflects the strength, depth, and professionalism of Canadian ski instruction on the international stage and across the membership.

This appointment builds on his recent work as Research & Development Lead and Technical Coach for the 2027 Interski Team, where he contributed to strengthening program consistency, advancing course conductor development, and supporting the evolution of instructor training across Canada.

With more than 25 years of experience in ski education, coaching, and program development, Beaulieu brings exceptional depth and perspective to the role. He is a CSIA Level 4 Course Conductor, former Technical Committee member, former Ski School Director at Mont-Sainte-Anne, Technical Director for Rookie Academy (New Zealand and Canada), Alpine Canada Performance Level Coach, and National French Ski Instructor (Chamonix, France).

A four-time member of the Canadian Interski Team and Team Captain in 2023, he brings firsthand experience of representing Canada internationally and a deep understanding of the standard required at that level. His appointment places him in a unique position—responsible for both the strength of Canada’s national education system and how that system is demonstrated on the world stage.

“The strength of the CSIA is its people,” said Beaulieu. “There’s exceptional talent across the country. The focus now is on bringing that together—supporting our members and snow schools, strengthening how we deliver our programs, and continuing to raise the standard so we’re operating at the highest level in Canada and internationally.”

Since 1938, the CSIA has defined the standard for ski instruction in Canada and continues to lead the development of certification and professional training nationwide. As the organization looks toward its 100th anniversary, this appointment signals continued momentum in strengthening programs, supporting its membership, and reinforcing its leadership across the Canadian ski industry.

The CSIA remains the only Canadian organization recognized by the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA), reinforcing its position as the country’s definitive authority in ski instruction and education.

This appointment reflects exactly where the CSIA is going as an organization,” said Interim Managing Director Beth Potter. “J.F. has the depth of experience and leadership to strengthen our system, support our members, and ensure the CSIA continues to define the standard in Canada and on the international stage.”

With over 21,000 members, the CSIA works in partnership with ski resorts and snow schools nationwide to deliver a nationally recognized system of certification and professional development—supporting instructors at every level and contributing to a strong and consistent standard across the industry.
