LET’S GET STARTED

You can begin your journey with either a 3-day Level 1 Certification Course or Snow Park Level 1 Certification Course. Some Snow Schools in Canada also offer a Level 1 Apprentice Development Program offered over a longer term, in conjunction with on-the-job experience.

Level 1 Certification

The CSIA Level 1 Course is designed to introduce and develop the basic skills for teaching new skiers of all ages with a focus on teaching children.

Snow Park Level 1 Certification

The Snow Park Certification Course provides training for your own riding as well as teaching park skills to children and adults.

Level 2 Certification

The CSIA Level 2 Skier Development Course is designed to develop participants’ skiing skills to a consolidated level of performance on groomed and ungroomed blue terrain in a variety of turn types.

Snow Park Level 2 Certification

This course is for anyone who has completed the Snow Park Level 1 Certification and is building their advanced skills in the Terrain Park environment.

Level 3 Certification

The three-day Level 3 Skier Development Course is designed to give you the opportunity to develop and practice advanced skiing tactics that will help you refine your own skiing skill and confidence in advanced terrain.

Trainer Designation

As a Level 3 Certified Ski Instructor, you are encouraged to attain the Trainer Designation, which helps build skills valuable in training new Ski Instructors and is a mandatory requirement for all CSIA Level 1 Course Conductors.

Level 4 Certification

As a fully certified Level 3 with the Trainer Designation, the highest level of CSIA Certification is within reach. Extensive professional experience inside and outside the ski industry is valued and strongly recommended for those embarking on this program.
