Governance Committee

The Governance Committee helps guide and support the evolution and improvement of the CSIA organizational governance structure, board governance, processes, policies, risk management, and ethics-related practices. The committee also assists the board with its performance. The GC is to support board member recruitment, and to recommend processes to support and evaluate the effectiveness of the board, committees and individual board members.


Technical Committee (TEC)

The TEC contributes to the evolution, auditing, and advancement of ski technique, teaching methodology, educational product development and certification system, and standards for the CSIA.


WOMEN IN SKIING COMMITTEE (WIS)

The Women In Skiing (WIS) Committee helps to increase & retain female members in the CSIA, identify and share methodologies specific to female skiers, and drive participation and engagement at all levels, including in leadership roles.


Hall of fame committee (hof)

CSIA’s National Hall of Fame Committee is dedicated to preserving the history of the organization, inspiring and encouraging the development of young Ski Instructors, and enshrining CSIA Icons and Legends who have made a significant contribution to the growth and well-being of the CSIA on a National scale and to the sport of skiing and ski teaching. The CSIA thanks the Hall of Fame & Member Recognition Committee for their ongoing efforts to recognize those who have made a significant long-term contribution to the organization.


Snow School Committee

The Snow School Programs Committee is a national volunteer advisory group that strengthens collaboration between the CSIA and snow schools across Canada. The committee provides strategic insight and practical feedback to help ensure CSIA programs, resources, and services continue to meet the evolving needs of ski resorts, instructors, and the industry. By identifying emerging trends, sharing best practices, and supporting national engagement initiatives, the committee helps advance instructor development, enhance the guest experience, and foster the long-term growth of skiing in Canada.


marcom Committee

The Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) Committee is composed of one representative from each of the CSIA’s six regions and national committees. Working closely with the National Office, members provide regional perspectives, share best practices, and collaborate on initiatives that strengthen member engagement, enhance communication, and promote the CSIA brand across Canada.
