CSIA LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATION
The Level 2 Certification program is for any CSIA Member who has achieved the Level 1 or Snow Park certification and is looking to advance their effectiveness and know-how in creating great learning experiences for Snow School guests. The program is an opportunity to improve ‘situational teaching’ skills, and combine practical ski teaching methods, technical understanding and development, and improvement of guest service skills.

PREREQUISITES:
- CSIA Level 1
- OR Snow Park Certification
- OR ACA Entry Level Certified status
- OR ACA Development Level Trained status
DURATION:
2 days for Skiing Development
2 days for Teacher Development
2 days for Exams
Skiing and Teaching “Tracks”
The Level 2 program is offered in Skiing and Teaching “Tracks”. To acquire the complete Level 2 Certification, Members must take the development course in each of Skiing and Teaching Tracks followed by the related Exam. Independent development in either track is also possible. For example, upon completion of the Level 2 Teacher Development (2 days), a Member can proceed to the Level 2 Teaching Exam (1 day) only, if they choose. The same is true of the Skiing Track.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The CSIA Level 2 Skier Development course is designed to develop participants’ skiing skills to a consolidated level of performance on groomed and ungroomed blue terrain in a variety of turn types.
Participants will benefit from a solid two days of collaborative ski improvement.

- CSIA Technical Concepts and 5 Skills Framework
- Long-term development strategies
- Level 2 Ski Exam performance criteria
Candidates will receive coaching on their skiing and help prepare you for the Level 2 Ski Exam. They will also receive suggestions and strategies for long-term development.
How you can prepare:
In addition to the prerequisites listed above, some involvement with a Snow School is highly recommended, as the benefits of knowledge gained through first-hand teaching experiences are substantial. In preparation, consider attending a Pro Day or Pro Session, which offer training opportunities to hone your skiing and teaching skills.
