SNOW PARK LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATION

PREREQUISITES:

  • 14 years of age on the first day of the Course
  • Confident parallel skiing on Intermediate terrain
  • Some experience in terrain park environment is an asset

DURATION: 3 days

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Snow Park Certification Course provides training for your own riding as well as teaching park
skills to children and adults.

What you’ll learn:

  • Park etiquette and safety awareness
  • How to teach safely in terrain park
  • Guest service and communication skills
  • Canadian teaching approach
  • Switch skiing, boxes, basic airs, grabs and 180 spins 

Candidates will receive instruction on their skiing, as well as feedback on their teaching skills, with the goal of reaching the Snow Park Certification standard in both of these areas. They will also receive suggestions and strategies for long-term development.
