CSIA announces its new Education Content Creator

Montréal, QC — August 24, 2026

The Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) is pleased to announce that John Gillies has been chosen to fill the role of Education Content Creator.

A career ski teacher and coach, John is familiar to many CSIA members. He was a full time employee for the CSIA from 2000 to 2019 in the role of Manager of Educational Development (East) and during that time was involved in the development of education material and CSIA leadership both on and off snow.

A five time Interski coach, a senior trainer, and more recently an inductee to the hall of fame, John has a deep knowledge of the CSIA education context and its evolution. Since his departure from the CSIA in 2019 he has continued in snowsports education as a coach for young athletes and coach development in the competitive stream. His work as coach will continue, but he will be added to the CSIA education team to capture and develop education content.
