The Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) is pleased to announce the appointment of J-S Forget as Research and Development Lead.
In this role, J-S will support the continuous improvement, quality assurance, and ongoing development of CSIA’s educational systems and national program delivery. Working closely with the Products and Education team, Education Program Coordinators, regional leaders, and Course Conductors, he will help strengthen consistency, communication, educational standards, mentorship, and program impact across the organization.
J-S will also contribute to the development and refinement of CSIA educational resources, audit and quality assurance tools, mentorship initiatives, Course Conductor pathways, and national consistency projects. His work will help ensure CSIA programs continue to meet the evolving needs of members, Snow Schools, and the broader ski industry.

J-S began his teaching career at the age of 16 at Mont-Tremblant, quickly becoming a full-time professional before continuing his development in Whistler.
His international experience includes several seasons at Thredbo in Australia. He also contributes internationally as a consultant for PSIA-AASI on the Alpine Skiing Technical Manual, supporting greater technical alignment within the sport.
His experience spans race department operations, U10 coaching, senior athlete programs, and the development of mentorship programs. J-S is a CSIA Level 4 Course Conductor, Terrain Park instructor trainer, Alpine Canada ACA Development coach, and CASI Level 1 instructor. A passionate and dedicated learner, he is constantly looking for new ways to improve and advance ski teaching.
In 2023, J-S brought his expertise to the international stage as a member of the Canadian Interski Team, representing Canada at the highest level of snow sports education worldwide.
