The Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA), founded in 1938, is an association dedicated to certifying ski instructors across Canada. We ensure a nationwide ski teaching standard while promoting and teaching the importance of ski safety. The CSIA is also committed to the development of innovative and effective skiing techniques and teaching methods. Our mandate is to promote professionalism and the profession of ski teaching. We have reached a membership of over 23,000 professional skiers, and the level of excellence of our instructors and snow school directors is internationally renowned. As a member of the International Ski Instructors Association, we participate every four years in Interski, the international congress of ski instructors.
