As we prepare for the 2026–2027 winter season, the CSIA team continues its pursuit of excellence by refining our programs, educational resources, and member learning experiences. Throughout the summer, our staff, education leaders, and volunteers have been focused on enhancing the tools and training that support instructors at every stage of their journey, helping members develop their skills, deepen their knowledge, and teach with greater confidence.

Our goal has been to improve the consistency, quality, and innovation of our educational programs, e-learning, videos, manuals, and member resources. This season, you will also see our new website launch and our new uniforms.

Here is a preview of some of the key initiatives currently underway as we prepare for the 2026–2027 season:

Ski the Canadian Way / Teach the Canadian Way
A major initiative designed to create a common language and shared framework for skiing and teaching across the CSIA. While the fundamentals remain the same, we have refined our educational content to make it clearer, more concise, and easier for members to understand and apply on the snow. These concepts will be embedded throughout our programs, educational resources, videos, e-learning, and instructor development pathways to strengthen consistency across the country. The Canadian Way guides will be release in September.

Course & Certification Update – All certification courses are being reviewed and refined to align with the Canadian Way framework. This includes updated Level 1 and 2 content, improved evaluation tools, refinements to Level 3 and 4 programs, and the development of a new Big Mountain course.

Expanded E-Learning & Digital Resources – New online learning modules are being developed to better prepare members for Level 1–4 certifications, Teaching Children, Big Mountain, and standards-based learning, supported by video examples and assessment tools.

New Video & Learning Content – Significant effort is being invested in new video resources, including Ski the Canadian Way, Teach the Canadian Way, technical updates for 2027, teaching standards, assessment and development tools, course preparation resources, and member-focused learning content.

Interski 2027 – The CSIA Interski Team is excited to share the content they have prepared for the 2027 Congress in Vail Colorado. Members can expect camps, online webinars, and presentations by team members and coaches throughout the season on topics including training methodologies, performance, ski tips, videos, and behind-the-scenes updates as we bring the Interski experience closer to all CSIA members.  In September, our members will be able to sign up for Pro day Camps, High-Performance Camps and Research and Development Camps across the country to learn more about our Interski 2027 message.
